Silicon Tetrachloride Lewis Structure
The structure of silicon tetrachloride (Silicon Tetrachloride), the silicon atom is in the center, and the tetrachlorine atom is connected outside. Silicon has tetravalent and chlorine has one valence each. With short-line table covalent bonds, silicon and tetrachlorine are connected by one line each, forming a four-sided shape. The chlorine atom is surrounded by lone pairs of electrons, three pairs each. This is the Lewis Structure of silicon tetrachloride.
